Founded in April of 2003, The Women's Sexual Health Foundation
(TWSHF) is a nonprofit corporation. TWSHF supports a multidisciplinary
approach to the treatment of sexual health issues and serves
as an educational resource for both the lay public and healthcare
professionals.

TWSHF expert, Dr. Michael Krychman, featured at Fox News on Is High Cholesterol Harming Your Sex Life?
Dr. Krychman is also the executive director of the Southern California Center for Sexual Health and Survivorship.
High cholesterol can manifest with or without symptoms. And the No. 1 danger of this condition is that it clogs arteries, resulting in a condition called atherosclerosis, which reduces blood flow and increases the risk of heart attack or stroke.
But the reduced blood flow caused by high cholesterol also has been linked to sexual disorders.

TWSHF Media Award
The Women's Sexual Health Foundation (TWSHF) is pleased to announce its first ever Media Award that recognizes and honors an outstanding media professional whose journalistic work, through any consumer media outlet (ie, print, television, radio, Internet), has broadened the knowledge and understanding of women's sexual health disorders and related women's health concerns.
The award recipient will be formally announced at the Foundation's April 4, 2009 Women's Education: Reclaiming Healthy Intimacy, Passion and Pleasure in New York City.
The Foundation will be receiving nominations for this award until November 15, 2008. To submit a nomination, e-mail info@twshf.org with the name of the nominee, the nominee's complete contact information ( including phone and e-mail address), and in no more than 500 words, what this nominee has done professionally to broaden the knowledge and understanding of women's sexual health disorders and related women's health concerns. Also include your name and complete contact information in the e-mail. In the subject line of the e-mail state: Media Award Nominee.
The recipient will be notified by February 1, 2009.

Women's Sexual Health Journal
The July issue of the Women's Sexual Health Journal is now available for all members of TWSHF to view.
In this issue we have an article on Variations in Sexual Pregnancy Among Pregnant Women written by Cinara Sacomori, Physiotherapist, Postgraduate Student on the Master’s degree course in Human Movement Sciences, CEFID/UDESC.,and Fernando Luiz Cardoso, Doctor in Human Sexuality, Professor on the Master’s degree course in Human Movement Sciences, CEFID/UDESC.
The Women's Sexual Health Journal invites you to submit articles, letters, and meeting notices that may be of interest to our readers. The articles may be scientific or research based, case studies, or your day-to-day experience with women's sexual health concerns from your professional perspective.
We also invite women to submit their personal stories relating to their sexual health journey. Successes and frustrations in finding care, treatment and an empathetic provider may be addressed in these stories. The personal stories will be published anonymously unless permission is given to do so otherwise.
The Women's Sexual Health Foundation encourages women to educate themselves regarding sexual health, so they can make smart choices.
